Moving out and from under the shadow of his last employer Sony , veteran publicist Steve Elzer is now on way to launch own PR Firm- Elzer & Associates. For Elzer who’s been with Sony Pictures Entertainment for 20 years this is an opportunity to widen his range in terms of client reach and services.
Elzer would now work in partnership with Rachel Falikoff, a former communications executive at Imageworks.
The Sony veteran has earlier worked for New Line Cinema and more till recently as the senior VP media relations in Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group where he served for a good 12 years. For more than a decade he was Amy Pascal’s reliable spokesman. He left Sony in December 2013. In his own words, Elzer who acknowledged he had been privileged to have represented some of the top executive teams felt it was now time for him to take all that experience and expand his horizons.
Both he and Rachel have worked in New Line and also Sony and aim to work for delivering proactive PR guidance to organizations, businesses and individual. Rachel would be joining the new firm as senior VP. As part of their launch Elzer & Associates have roped in clients including Stradella Road, Newzcard and Court Five. In fact Elzer has been passionately behind Newzcard a new startup working on new and innovative ways for consumers to use the social media platform. He would be associated as its chief communications officer. For Court Five that is being run by Mark Ordesky and Jane Fleming Elzer’s firm would assist in launch of ABC’s new reality series ‘The Quest. For Elzer who’s doubled up as chief spokesman for both Sony Pictures and New Line Cinema the road ahead seems excitingly challenging. With his PR background of representing the studios’ in their launch more over 300 motion pictures we are expecting an equally glitzy performance by Elzer & Associates!
