If you love listening to Pink Floyd, this fall there will be a new offer from the singer.

After twenty long years the band is returning with their first album. The news was leaked by singer-guitarist David Gilmour’s wife Polly Samson who tweeted recently that a new record is in the works and to be releasing this fall.

According to Rolling Stone the news has been confirmed by a rep for Gilmour.

Samson wrote on Twitter , “Btw Pink Floyd album out in October is called ‘The Endless River… Based on 1994 sessions is Rick Wright’s swansong and very beautiful.”

One of the founders and keyboardist, Wright, died in 2008 due to cancer. He was 65 then.

On July 1 the band celebrated their first album’s 20th anniversary. The Division Bell was released in 1994. It is said the upcoming album also contains the unreleased recordings that was made during the sessions of Division Bell.

The singer Durga McBroom-Hudson is also contributing in the new album. She had toured in 1980s and 1990s with Pink Floyd. Through her Facebook page she spilled some more details on The Endless River album.

She wrote that the recordings of the new project started during The Division Bell sessions.

She added further, “Which is why there are Richard Wright tracks on it. But David and Nick have gone in and done a lot more since then.”
