Jackie Chan’s son is detained by cops in Beijing city of China on Wednesday on drug charges.
Ashamed and saddened, the Hong Kong film star apologized to the public on Twitter over Jaycee Chan’s arrest saying his son would need to face the consequences of his actions.
He wrote, “Regarding this issue with my son Jaycee, I feel very angry and very shocked. As a public figure, I’m very ashamed. As a father, I’m heartbroken.”
The 31-year-old Jaycee Chan was detained together with 23-year-old Taiwanese film star Kai Ko. This is the latest high-profile celebrities being detained on drug charges in China in last two decades or more.
