George Clooney is now engaged. Not even seven months of dating and he is now the fiance of lawyer Amal Alamuddin.
If believed to the news published in People and E! websites, the British ladylove of Clooney was seen flashing a ring on her left ring finger on Thursday. The pair was at Malibu restaurant Nobu with couple Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber.
Citing a source the websites write in the middle of dinner they told pal Edward Norton about their engagement. The actor had approached to them to congratulate.
Clooney and Alamuddin were first reported to be romantically linked last year in October. Both looked cozy together at a dinner party.
Clooney, 52, was earlier married to Talia Blasam between 1989 and 1993 until they divorced. Then, the Oscar-winning director and producer said he would not marry again.
He was later found dating Stacy Keibler for about two years and called it a quit last year in July.
Keibler married Jared Pobre last month and she is expecting her first child with him.
In March this year Clooney was spotted vacationing with Alamuddin in the Seychelles. They two also went on safari in Tanzania. Returning back to the States the two were usually seen lounging and dinning in Los Angeles and New York.
Born in Lebanon, Alamuddin grew up in Great Britain. When she was two years old her family fled to London from war-torn Beirut. They settled in Gerrads Cross. She has three younger siblings too – one sister Tala and two brothers named Samer and Ziad.
