In a study, researchers have found that consuming one teaspoon of cumin seeds or powder helps losing weight more speedily.

Not only in losing weight, it also controls the level of bad cholesterol.

The study was carried out on 88 overweight women at Iran`s Shahid Sadoughi University. Half of them were given cumin powder in their regular diet and other half were kept on only regular diet.

Researchers at last observed that the group who were given cumin seeds regularly had lost weight three times faster than the other group.
