Bat-Eating Monkeys got caught on camera feasting bats for the first time

A group of Bat-Eating monkeys, also known as Cercopithecus monkeys, caught on camera feasting bats for the very first time.

It has been reported that the monkeys were recorded in forests of Tanzania and Kenya, in which they could be seen stripping the flesh of two different species of bats.

Few scientists have shown their concern towards the monkey behavior by saying that this could lead to the transmission of deadly diseases between species.

They also have added that it might be the reason before ‘increased cases of Ebola Virus’.

Previously, scientist used to believe that monkeys could catch diseases by eating fruit containing an infected bat’s saliva.
