The action star was thereafter airlifted to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital. Later he had to undergo a surgery in London.

Since his accident he is spotted for the first time with a plaster in his left foot and being pushed in a wheelchair.

Ford is famously known for performing his own stunts. Before his accident he described himself as “battered old Ford” and mentioned preferring his own stunts.

The Indiana Jones actor added that although he does all his running, jumping and falling, but he tries to keep himself unhurt.

Earlier last year it was speculated he may participate in a fifth Indiana Jones film. He said age is no barrier for him and he would take on action role again.

The Hollywood actor said, “I don’t think there is any barrier to Indiana Jones being an old fart. I’m old enough that we don’t need [Sean] Connery anymore – I’m old enough to play my own father.”

Based on his medical bulletin it is said Ford may come back to United States for rest and rehabilitation.

Ford first filmed for the Star Wars in 1977.

The upcoming Star Wars title will be first one to be released by Disney. In 2012 the creator of it, George Lucas, sold the rights.
