The popular book titled Big Little Lies will be hitting the TV too in the US.
The adaption is originally written by Australian author Liane Moriarty and Nicole Kidman is to star in it.
Earlier it was said a film of the book was in the works, but latest report suggest it is for the small screen.
This is the first time the Oscar-winning actress is working for the television.
The plot of Big Little Lies is equipped with a sharp comedy in a primary school and gradually turns to a riot and unexplained death too after the wrap up of annual school trivia night.
According to marketing material the TV series is a brilliant take on ex-husbands as well as second wives, and along with mothers and daughters, school-yard scandal, and the dangerous little lies we tell ourselves just to survive.
The book was a New York Times bestseller earlier when it was released in the US.
Reese Witherspoon will also be featured in the adaption for TV, which is being billed as a “limited series”.
The series will be written by screenwriter David E. Kelley. He is well known for his work on projects like the iconic Ally McBeal.
As of now the series has not been sold to any network, but with stars like Kidman and Witherspoon it is sure to be sold immediately.
