There were only fifty friends and family in their ceremony that was held in the backyard of Couric’s home.

According to report published in the People magazine, the talk show host wanted to keep the wedding low-key. In the ceremony her daughters were present too. She was cited saying, “This is not my first rodeo so I didn’t want to go too crazy and neither did John.”

She added further that the ceremony had traditional touches.

The 57-year-old has two daughters from her late husband Jay Monahan – 22-year-old Ellie and 18-year-old Carrie, who even sang a song for them.

Molner’s kids, Alie and Henry, too attended the wedding ceremony. His nieces were the flower girls.

There were two ring bearers in the ceremony.

Couric was in ivory beaded and embroidered Chantilly lace halter gown. It was designed by Carmen Marc Valvo after final decision made by the 51-year-old groom.

In last few months the host was seen wrapping up the talk show and she is presently seen with a new role as Yahoo! News Global Anchor. She even released a documentary named as Fed Up.

Recently Couric also celebrated Carrie’s high school graduation.
