Around four women were fined and remaining six were given warning, because they wore ‘burkini’ (a combination of burka and bikini’) at beach.
It has been reported that the 10 women, aged between 30-50, enjoying with their children’s, at Riviera resort of Cannes, when a police officer started questioning them for what they were wearing.
After bit talk, four of the ten women were fined around $50 and remaining were given warning for not wearing ‘burkini’ again.
Recently, Mayor David Lisnard, imposed a ban on women wearing ‘burkini’ and since then Muslim groups have been protesting against it.
He explained to press “I took this decision among several other rulings to make sure my city is safe in the context of the state of emergency”.
