The admirers of Claudia Winkleman will have to wait for some more days, as the famous TV presenter won’t be returning to Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.
It is been reported that the Claudia has had to take a gap from TV presentation job for her daughter Matilda, after a nasty accident in Halloween left her with serious injuries.
Matilda is a 8 year old girl whose costume caught fire when she was playing out trick-or-treating on Halloween night. She was immediately taken to the hospital to recover and her condition is now far from healthy.
Earlier the popular BBC show was presented by Sir Bruce Forsyth, but Claudia is now unable to present the show for two weeks for her little girl.
It was earlier reported that BBC was hopeful for her return, but it is now confirmed that she will be taking a third week off to care her daughter.
It is a hard decision for Claudia as she dreamt for this show before Forsyth.
The sources say that Matilda is recovering, but it will take much time to completely recover from her injuries. Claudia feels that it will be inappropriate to be on the stage when her daughter is in hospital.
In her absence Zoe Ball will present the show along with Tess Daly. In the last episode Tess announced the absence of Claudia.
‘All our thoughts go out to her and her daughter and we’re wishing her a speedy recovery,’ she said.
Claudia and her husband Kris Thykier told reporters about the danger of Bonfire night and thanked everyone and NHS doctors and nurses for their support.
